Adam J. Woodward

Adam Woodward is the owner and Principal of Woodward Law, PLLC. He is a civil litigator and registered patent attorney with experience in enforcing and procuring patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. His practice focuses on handling complex business and intellectual property disputes across an array of intricate technology fields. Leveraging his background in chemical and biomolecular engineering, he represents clients from small inventors and startups to established corporations in contract, patent, copyright, and trademark litigation matters from.

 Mr. Woodward’s technical experience spans from software, semiconductors, wireless devices, and electronics to biochemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemical process engineering, and biologics. His diverse knowledge enables him to deliver strategic and effective legal solutions.

Mr. Woodward manages cases from inception to resolution, handling pre-suit diligence, infringement analysis, motion practice, discovery disputes, and expert witnesses. He also has experience leading and defending against IP litigation campaigns, overseeing licensing target identification, venue selection, and validity assessments to protect his clients’ interests.

 During law school, Mr. Woodward clerked for Judge Timothy Batten of the Northern District of Georgia and Judge Alan O. Forst of Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeals. Adam earned his J.D. from Emory University, where he focused on the intersection of law, ethics, and science. Before law school, Adam earned a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University, specializing in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. At Cornell, he conducted research on metal-oxide nanoparticles for lithium-ion battery electrodes in the Archer Lab. As one of the ten Kessler Engineering Entrepreneurship Fellows in his class, Adam gained hands-on experience assisting startup technology firms with early legal and technical hurdles, fueling his ongoing passion in this area.
